Happy Birthday Logan!

This cake was made for my son's first birthday. It was a confetti cake made in a character pan with lots and lots of stars in buttercream icing. We had a dinosaur themed party complete with inflatable dinosaurs, jell-o dino eggs, and lava juice (fruit punch). This cake was just for him. We put the entire cake on the tray of his high chair and let him have it!

This is what happened...
This is a 3-D chocolate cake I made for everyone else at the party. I had a few pictures to go by that I found on the internet, but I would up creating a mixture of all of them. I used two 3-inch deep round cakes and 2-3 batches of icing (I only thought the other cake took alot of stars.). The orange spikes and his eyes are made with royal icing. I was pretty proud of myself considering I had no experience with carving a cake. I felt like Duff on Charm City Cakes. As big as it was, we didn't have much left over. I'm glad everyone liked it.
